Jamie Carragher’s Bold Claim After Ruben Amorim Bombshell: Exclusive

Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher has suggested that LFC should go for Roberto De Zerbi as Klopp replacement after Ruben Amorim interest takes a hit.

The managerial drama at Anfield seems to never end as recent reports have indicated the search for Jurgen Klopp‘s successor has taken another turn.

Three months ago, the German manager announced his imminent departure after this season ends.

Even though the club officials got the news earlier and had some time to scout the market to find an adequate replacement for the beloved Reds boss, they are yet to confirm one.

At first, Xabi Alonso emerged as the frontrunner for the job due to his past affiliation with the Merseysiders and his exceptional work with Bayer Leverkusen.

However, the former Red confirmed his stay at the the German club and the club had to look elsewhere.

Two names which came up as the immediate favourites were Brighton and Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi and Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim.

The Portuguese tactician has been the top contender to succeed Klopp at the Anfield helm.

Carragher Wants De Zerbi At Liverpool

Although LFC had rejected the idea of hiring the Italian manager earlier due to his outspoken nature regarding his transfer needs and wants, recent report is suggesting something else.

According to a new report via The Athletic, ‘Ruben Amorim is in London for talks with West Ham United’ to become the potential manager of the Hammers if David Moyes leaves the club.

This has left the club with the option of hiring the Seagulls boss and former Red Jamie Carragher is endorsing it even more.

Writing in his X (formerly Twitter) account, Carragher stated,

“Richard Hughes wanted De Zerbi at Bournemouth, so he must be the favourite if this is true.”

With the season-end nearing closer, the managerial search has come down to this. Now it remains to see how the hiring process sums up.
