Former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor is speculating that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah will leave the club in the coming summer for Saudi Arabia.
The Merseyside attack has been one of the finest and most frightening in the PL for the last few years. And the main man of the Liverpool attack has been Mohamed Salah.
He has been carrying this attack since 2017 and has only developed as a player. But this summer he became a target of the Saudi Pro League with the league even being ready to spend a record-breaking transfer fee.
But the Reds turned down every offer to keep him in the club. However, this might change in the coming summer as the Saudi League will try their best to sign him. And latest update solidifies this claim.
Mohamed Salah might leave Liverpool in the summer
According to a report via Football Insider, Salah will be Saudi’s main target alongside Kevin De Bruyne. While speaking to the British media outlet, Gabriel Agbonlahor said,
“I do see Mo Salah in Saudi Arabia, 100%. He’ll go out there and be the highest-paid player. I do see it happening in the summer.
He’ll have a year left on his contract, and Liverpool will know it’s coming and have the chance to find a replacement.
I don’t think it’s about money for Liverpool. They’ll get whatever they ask for. It’s inevitable at this point.
As much as Klopp won’t want to lose him, he could well be given all that money to go out and replace him with someone younger.
We don’t know if Salah’s legs will start to go in the coming years. I think it would be good business to move him on in 2024.”
There is no doubt the Egyptian skipper is one of the indispensable members of this LFC team for the last couple of years. Him leaving the club would actually make quite an impact on the side.
However, his heroics during his time at Anfield will never be forgotten.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
