Chelsea legend reacts to young talent joining Liverpool

Liverpool have finally confirmed the signing of 2008-born young talent Rio Ngumoha from Chelsea Academy. Liverpool completed the Premier League’s 5-step investigation process for Rio Ngumoha to join the club.

Rio is another exciting addition to the Liverpool academy. Liverpool also completed the signing of Alvin Ayman another academy talent from Wolves.

The transfer was confirmed a long time ago, but every transfer between two Category One academies goes through a five-step investigation process before being signed off.

Rio Ngumoha joins Liverpool Academy

Fabrizio Romano on Wednesday confirmed that Liverpool completed the 5 step investigation process to sign Rio Ngumoha. Rio Ngumoha confirmed this move on his Instagram with the caption ” Delighted to sign for Liverpool”.

Liverpool fans were delighted with this signing on his comments. Many of his Chelsea teammates, as well as Chelsea legend John Terry, wished him well. Terry commented “Good luck mate”

Rio appeared for the Chelsea academy in their U16 team with a few appearances in the U18s as well. According to reports Rio Ngumoha will join the Liverpool academy for their U18s.

Chelsea youth team expert Parth Gupta on Rio Ngumoha: “Ngumoha has been a winger who has been talked about for quite a while in the academy world and it doesn’t take too long of watching him to see why.”

“He’s a specialist-in-dribbling winger, predominantly on the left-hand side, who is fully confident in his one-on-one ability and is fearless in that sense.”
