Luiz Diaz pleads with Salah: “I hope he doesn’t leave!” amid exit rumours
Liverpool star Luis Diaz has passionately appealed to his teammate Mohamed Salah to reconsider his potential departure from the club, expressing deep concern over the impact it would have on the team.
Mo Salah has been a cornerstone of Liverpool’s success in recent years. But he recently dropped a bombshell by suggesting that this might be his “last year” at Anfield, sparking doubts regarding his future with the Reds.
With his contract set to expire next summer, Salah’s revelation has shaken the fanbase to its core. The Egyptian forward has already made a strong start to the season, netting three goals and providing three assists in just three games.
His contributions and performances on the pitch have been nothing short of extraordinary. Not to mention he is still one of the most sought-after wingers in world football.
Diaz wants Salah to stay
Luis Diaz has become an integral part of Liverpool’s attack since the moment he donned the Reds’ shirt. And he is understandably concerned about the prospect of losing such a key player.
In a candid interview with Telemundo, he was asked about Salah’s potential exit. The Colombian winger did not hold back his emotions as he urged Salah to reconsider his decision:
“It would be hard for us. It would be hard for Liverpool. It’s going to hurt us a lot. He still has a year to think about it, it’s not easy. He always gives his very best. He has done it from the start. It would be very hard to lose a key player like him. It’s his decision and we respect that, but I hope he doesn’t leave.”
After the international break, Liverpool will face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, followed by a highly anticipated Champions League opener against AC Milan, a re-run of the iconic finals from 2005 and 2007.
