Trent Alexander-Arnold set to miss Man City clash for Liverpool

The Liverpool born 22-year-old right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold will miss the Manchester City game on Sunday, due to a muscle injury.

The league leaders are set to face the second-placed Manchester city in an early tabletop clash of the season. While the citizens are just a point behind the reds in the Premier League table.

England right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold felt his adductor on Monday afternoon and in that area he now has a little injury. Due to this, he missed Liverpool’s 5-1 win over FC Porto in the champions league fixture. The Reds displayed a composed and dominant performance against the Portuguese side where Mr. Reliable James Milner replaced the injured right back.

Klopp has now confirmed that Trent Alexander Arnold will not feature in this Sunday’s big clash against Pep Guardiola’s side due to a muscle injury.

When could Trent be back in the Liverpool Starting Line-up?

Trent is a valuable player for the Reds. He has created more chances than any other player in the Premier League this season. Thus, the Liverpool right-back created 20 chances in five league appearances.

His presence will be missed in this game as well. Meanwhile, Man City defence will be relieved because they don’t need to worry about the threat Trent carries with him from the right flank as he won’t be featuring in the lineup against the citizens

Trent Alexander Arnold will not be only missing this Sunday’s fixture against Manchester City. But will also miss the International games against Andorra and Hungry in the world cup qualifiers for England.

The medical staff are hoping that he will be ready again to face Watford on 16th October 2021.

Liverpool goes into Sunday’s game at Anfield as the only unbeaten team in the league so far. Moreover, the Reds will be looking to extend their one-point lead with a win at home.
