Liverpool would be eager to continue their unbeaten run in the premier league when they take on Manchester City on Sunday at Anfield. The Reds had an amazing encounter against Portuguese side Porto where they won in a convincing manner. However, team news becomes an important factor when Liverpool will line up against Man City.

The squad looks in great shape and form as the performance says so. But does Klopp have any injury woes to look at?

Yes, there are few players who are doubtful to start as they have picked up injuries. However, with the kind of confidence displayed by the Reds in their last two games, nothing should hamper their performance against the Citizens.

Liverpool visited the Brentford Community Stadium last week for their premier league fixture where they had a tough encounter with the bees and the tie ended in a nail-biting draw with the scoreline being 3-3.

Manchester City sits right behind Liverpool on the points table with a difference of one point. They are followed by European Champions Chelsea and Manchester United, who are also in big contention for the title this season.

The Reds will therefore be keen on extending their lead at the top by going all out and trying to grab that win against Pep’s men.

Liverpool players doubtful for clash against City: Team News

The players caught up with injuries and could miss out on the crucial clash on Sunday are Thiago Alcantara, Harvey Elliott, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Thiago Alcantara had suffered a calf injury against Crystal Palace and that has forced him to be out for a while. He could possibly return for the clash against Watford on October 16. While

Harvey Elliott caught up a serious ankle injury against Leeds United and this seems to be a bit of a concern because he will be out for too long.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of the biggest doubts as got a groin injury during the training session earlier this week.

This may raise worries in the Liverpool camp, but with the kind of squad depth they have, it should not bother them much. Having won the Champion League group match against Porto away would definitely boost their spirits to play confidently on Sunday.
