Thiago reveals Liverpool players who have been impressing him

Liverpool Thiago

The midfielder for Liverpool Thiago Alcantara is taking advantage of his first unbroken preseason since joining the club two years ago. And he is taking notice of several of his younger teammates.

All eyes are now on 2022/23, even though Thiago had a good finish to the previous season and won the club’s Player of the Month Award in April.

The Spaniard will be hoping for even more success this season after appearing in every Reds pre-season friendly so far this summer.

He faces opposition in midfield, though. And Jurgen Klopp now has more alternatives there with the addition of Fabio Carvalho.

Carvalho is one of several young midfielders who have made an impression during the preseason. Stefan Bajcetic, Harvey Elliott, and Curtis Jones are also among all who displayed strong play against RB Leipzig on Thursday.

Thiago on midfield talent of Liverpool and Darwin Nunez

Thiago claims that during the second half, he and several other Liverpool players were talking about the club’s abundance of midfield potential.

He said:

“We were talking about it in the second half while we were on the bench, with Fabinho, Naby, and Adrian, the talented players that we have in the midfield, they were playing at the time. It’s impressive how they are audacious with the things that they do and also how they treat the ball and how they work as well. I think that’s the most important part for a young player, how they work.”

The 31-year-old has also discussed his part in assisting Darwin Nunez’s transition to the team after his high-profile departure from Benfica earlier this summer.

With four goals in the second half against Leipzig, Nunez made an impressive debut for Liverpool. Thiago, a fellow Spanish speaker, is one of the players assisting Nunez in being acclimated as early as possible.

Thiago then talked about new guys wanting to be happily entering their club while referring to Nunez. He also talked about how this adaptation helped Nunez score 4 goals, and he referred to his past when his senior players helped him settle in the team and how he further can contribute to young players’ development at the club.

The Reds fans will be optimistic to see how Thiago links up with the newcomers in the upcoming season.
