Sources: Liverpool now looking to make a surprise move for the La Liga star midfielder

Liverpool are on a verge of signing Yunus Musah. The 20-year-old has impressed Klopp and wants to bring him to Anfield.

The American is an Arsenal academy player. He left the Gunners without making a first-team appearance. Musah arrived at the Spanish Club in the summer of 2019.

Yunus Musah attracting Liverpool?

Yunus has been a key player since his debut for Valencia. The young midfielder makes a regular appearance for the Spanish side. He has been featured on 14 occasions in all competitions, including 13 outings in La Liga. The Valencia midfielder has been crucial on numerous occasions for the La Liga side.

The United States international has a contract at Mestalla until June 2026, but there are currently speculations surrounding his future with the Spanish side.

 According to Fichajes, the Merseyside giants have emerged as genuine contenders for the United States international, with the club’s head coach Jurgen Kloop pushing for this deal.

There is also some interest from the rival club Chelsea, but Liverpool are considered the favorite for this deal.

Musah on English football

Musah recently said that he is “really happy at Valencia”, but when further asked about the speculations he said to CBS Sports

“You never know. I had a great time at Arsenal developing there, I still have friends there, the coaches were great, being an Arsenal player, in general is great”.

The 20-year-old hinted at his desire to return to English football. The world knows Klopp’s pull is very powerful, every player has the desire to play under the German genius. Klopp can transform players into legends.  

Liverpool are desperate to sign a few quality midfielders to bring stability in the Reds’ squad. Jude Bellingham, Enzo Fernandez, and Matheus Nunes are a few names that are being monitored by the English giants. But a deal is yet to be finalized with one of these.
