No doubt Liverpool are struggling a lot this season and are continuously trying to make new signings to help them overcome their failure. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now stated that Liverpool are trying to sign a new midfielder in the January transfer window.

After their recent loss against Brighton, Liverpool have fallen down to 9th position in Premier League. It has been no secret though that midfield has been a major aspect of Liverpool’s failure this season and this is why they are looking for new midfielders.

“I expect them (Liverpool) to try for a new midfielder in the next days.” – Romano

One of the major reasons for Reds’ failure in the midfield is that Jordan Henderson and Fabinho who once were the key players for Jurgen Klopp’s team have lost their touch now. Furthermore, the duo most likely will exit the club in the summer after this season.

However, there is some good news for Liverpool fans. Journalist Romano believes that the club will soon try to make a move for a new midfielder this January. While speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said:

“Anything for Liverpool? I expect them to try for a new midfielder in the next days.”

Jude Bellingham has been the major focus for a move to Liverpool however, that deal will more likely happen in the summer. Dortmund are in no mood to sell the player in January. So the club are looking for some alternatives for Bellingham in the remaining days of winter.

Moises Caicedo linked with Liverpool

Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo is being linked with Liverpool as rumors suggest that Klopp has eyes on him. The 21-year-old has been sensational for Brighton and Liverpool will preferably like to make a move for him.

However, it will not be easy as Chelsea are in the race as well. According to CaughtOffisde the Ecuador international costs over 75 million Euros to prise away from his current club Brighton and Chelsea have made up their mind to sign him.

Let’s wait and watch what happens next as it will be interesting to see who will wins the race for the Brighton midfielder.
