Liverpool will make a trip to East London to face West Ham United at London Stadium for the Premier League clash. Both Jurgen Klopp and David Moyes’s sides are in an impressive form not only in the league but also in the European competition.

Liverpool will look to keep pressure on table topper, Chelsea. Meanwhile, West Ham, who are currently fourth in the table would like to continue to hold on to their Champions League spot.

West Ham United are showing no signs of stopping after an impressive start in the season. The second stint of David Moyes has completely changed the fortunes of the club.

And in the mid-week UEFA Europa League clash, David Moyes took charge of the 1000th game as manager. Simply a remarkable feat for the Scotsman.

West Ham United vs Liverpool: Match Preview

Liverpool bounced back well from the disappointing draw against Brighton last week to win against Atletico in the mid-week Champions League clash.

On the other side, Hammers drew in mid-week against Genk in Europa League on David Moyes’s 1000th game in charge. But they sit comfortably at top of their group.

The Hammers have registered four wins and one draw in their last five fixtures, and Liverpool’s trip to London Stadium will surely prove to be a tough test.

Liverpool have won four of the last five away games at Hammers and will be looking to win three in a row on Sunday’s clash.

The Reds have registered 19 goals in the first five away games. They are the third side after Manchester United in 1907-08 and Manchester City in 2011-12 (both 20) are only sides in the English top-flight to score more at this stage.

Moreover, in the last 10 games between both the sides, West ham have conceded 29 goals while scoring just nine.

With Liverpool’s attack tearing apart everyone, particularly Mohamed Salah who is in form of his life, it would be interesting to see how David Moyes set up his team.

But this time, Hammers looks like a dangerous side who are capable of competing with sides like Liverpool on a regular basis.

David Moyes’s side recently knocked out heavyweights Manchester City and Manchester United of Carabao Cup in a remarkable fashion.

Thus, Sunday’s clash between the two top-four sides will surely be a delightful one with both sides in good goal-scoring form. A close and competitive game is expected and thus it will be an entertaining one for the neutrals.

Team News

Liverpool will go into the match with a long list of injury concerns. And Roberto Firmino is the latest name on the list.

Firmino pulled his hamstring in the match against Atletico in the mid-week and is expected to be out of action for at least a month.

Meanwhile, Curtis Jones is out with an eye injury, and Joe Gomez will be out owing to a calf issue.

Jones’s injury has put a headache for Klopp, as Liverpool are already without Harvey Elliott, James Milner, and Naby Keita in the midfield.

Meanwhile, Fabinho and Thiago will be eager to be in the starting line-up after coming out of their respective injury issues.

Liverpool probable starting lineup:

Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain; Salah, Jota, Mane

Predicted line-up for Liverpool against West Ham United

West Ham United vs Liverpool: Prediction

Liverpool’s defence has been a concern so far this season, and West Ham will surely look to exploit it. And Hammers are also eying Liverpool’s midfield crisis.

But still, Liverpool have got enough in their tank to snatch a win. So far this season, The Reds have dismantled teams away from home.

Thus, an entertaining West Ham 2-3 Liverpool looks likely.
