Kylian Mbappe wants to play under Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, but not in the Reds shirt.
According to El Nacional, Mbappe has advised Real Madrid to replace Carlo Ancelotti with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp in order to achieve a trade for the Paris Saint-Germain star.
Mbappe’s PSG contract expires in June, and Los Blancos want to bring him to Spain. Les Parisiens had declined to sell his signature to the Galacticos throughout the summer.
Despite reports in The Guardian, Real Madrid reportedly offered Paris Saint-Germain €200 million (£171 million) for Mbappe. PSG made a tiny profit on the €180 million (£154 million) loan they gave Monaco in 2018 and thus they demanded a much higher amount for their star forward.
Mbappe is now hesitant to join Real Madrid on a free transfer when his PSG contract with Ancelotti expires.
Los Blancos’ performance under the former Everton manager has upset the 2018 World Cup champions. As a result, he is hoping that Madrid President Fiorentino Perez would heed his pleas to replace the Italian. And Mbappe has Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp in mind as a Real Madrid head coach.
Can Mbappe poach Jurgen Klopp to Madrid?
Mbappe has no hesitation in recommending Klopp to Real Madrid, stating that he would love to play under the Liverpool boss. The Frenchman admires Klopp’s offensive football mentality, which allows players of his ability to flourish.
Moreover, the striker believes that the German’s playing style is perfect for not only him, but even for the Spanish giants, who are looking to conquer Europe again.
The offer might sound tempting to both parties, but it’s highly unlikely that the Los Blancos could steal him from the Reds.
His resume surely looks good, who previously won the Premier League and Champions League with the Reds. The German also had successful stints at Dortmund, thus making him a perfect candidate for the job.
Catalan giants Barcelona also thought of the German boss, who recently sacked Koeman. But the Dutchman was eventually replaced by the club’s former legend Xavi.
Hence, this makes Madrid his preferred destination, However, luring him away from the Reds is regarded as a near-impossible undertaking.
Klopp has a contract with Liverpool until 2024, therefore it’s highly unlikely that the Los Blancos would poach him next summer.
However, if Mbappe really wants to play under Jurgen Klopp it’s possible that he might make a switch and move to Liverpool. Although the Reds might not be able to afford his sky-high wages. Thus, the scenario of Mbappe playing under Jurgen Klopp looks highly unlikely.
