Liverpool eye Moussa Diaby as an alternative for Sadio Mane. The Bayer Leverkusen star has been impressive in the Europa League and this is why he has become a centre of attraction for everyone. His performance keeps getting better and thus this is a constant reminder for Liverpool.

Moussa Diaby has got the power, speed, agility and great technique to fit in Liverpool’s style of play. Looking at his recent performance, the Frenchman won a brace and got two assists to his name in a 4-0 drubbing against Real Betis.

Diaby’s impressive form this season has indeed seen him in connection with the Reds. His brilliant display has shown why he would perfectly fit in Klopp’s plan and would be Mane’s ideal replacement. His runs are mesmerising down the left flank region.

Moussa Diaby at 22 is a great competitor for Sadio Mane as he has everything to be his long-term successor. Diaby has a record of six goals and four assists in 13 appearances across the Bundesliga and Europa League this season.

Liverpool might make a move Moussa Diaby in the upcoming transfer window

Diaby holds a record of averaging a goal and an assist 0.75 times per full-time duration in the Bundesliga. Moussa Diaby is also very versatile as he plays on either of the sides. However, he prefers the left side to his comfort.

There are a lot of similarities between Moussa Diaby and Sadio Mane. They play alike and just like Mane, Diaby also pushes into central positions making an impact from there. This seems like a formidable attacking approach.

His two goals against Real Betis fashioned the same approach coming in through central positions. In the same way, this penetrating force is lethal to the opposition defensive line and Jurgen Klopp would love to see that.

Furthermore, in terms of his tackling and dribbling abilities, he guns down with pace and immense acceleration. He is good at one-on-one scenarios and can breeze past defenders with ease.

Moreover, this seems to be very promising in the long run for the Reds. The Paris born French international’s finishing is brilliant while he only needs to work on his defensive work rate to completely fit into Liverpool’s squad.
