Liverpool Overhaul Backroom Staff With Slot’s New Team! See Who’s In And Who’s Out!
As part of Arne Slot’s new coaching staff Ruben Peeters and Sipke Hulshoff join Liverpool bringing significant changes to the team’s backroom, Slot replaces several of Klopp’s previous staff members in an effort to improve team performance.
Peeters and Hulshoff Join Under Arne Slot
Under new head coach Arne Slot, Liverpool have officially named Ruben Peeters as the first team lead physical performance coach.
Peeters, who was head of performance at Feyenoord before, comes to Liverpool with Slot and Sipke Hulshoff as the assistant coach.
With the departure of Jurgen Klopp the three-man team represents a major change in Liverpool’s coaching staff.
Peeters, who also held roles at Genk and holds a master’s degree in sports sciences from KU Leuven, was revealed via the LinkedIn profile of Claes Agency showcasing his rise from Genk to Feyenoord and presently Liverpool.
A Backroom Overhaul
Following the recent departures of several significant Klopp-era appointments including Pep Lijnders, Vitor Matos, Peter Krawietz, John Achterberg, Andreas Kornmayer and Andreas Schlumberger Liverpool have undergone a backroom makeover.
With new sporting director Richard Hughes and FSG’s new CEO of football Michael Edwards leading the charge the reorganization attempts to address the injury issues that marred Klopp’s final season.
Peeters who will concentrate on fitness and conditioning to lower the frequency of injuries among key players is anticipated to take on part of Kornmayer’s responsibilities.
Long List Of Injuries
The long list of injuries sustained by Liverpool in the previous Premier League campaign included numerous re-injuries including Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Ibrahima Konate, Andy Robertson, Thiago Stefan Bajcetic, Curtis Jones, Dominik Szoboszlai, Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah.
The Reds are still looking for more employees on LinkedIn it is advertising openings for a set-piece coach a physical performance coach and a first-team physiotherapist.
Liverpool are about to embark on a new chapter as the new coaching setup led by Slot Peeters and Hulshoff seeks to infuse new life into the team and ease its injury problems.
