Liverpool fans are on the edge of their seats as transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has hinted that the Anfield journey for Mohamed Salah might not be over yet, despite his contract nearing its end.

The Egyptian superstar, who has been a pivotal figure at Liverpool since his arrival in 2017, could still extend his stay at the club, but discussions are set to take place in the coming months.

Romano revealed on CaughtOffside’s The Debrief podcast that while there is a “concrete chance” for Salah to leave, nothing is set in stone. “There will be conversations,” Romano stated, emphasizing that Salah and Liverpool are not done negotiating just yet.

Mo Salah for Liverpool so far and what Fabrizio said

With 214 goals in 352 appearances, Salah has cemented his place as one of Liverpool’s greatest-ever players, sitting fifth on the club’s all-time scoring chart.

Since joining from AS Roma, he has helped Liverpool to every major trophy available, becoming a fan favourite along the way. From Premier League glory to that unforgettable Champions League win, Salah’s contributions have been nothing short of iconic.

However, with his contract set to expire in 2025, fans are left wondering if this will be his last dance at Anfield. Romano shared that while a departure is possible, “it’s not guaranteed.”

The situation remains “very much open,” and the final decision will depend on negotiations between Salah, his agent, and the club.

“There is still a very concrete chance to see Mo Salah leave Liverpool but there WILL be conversations. It is not over yet between Liverpool & Salah.” said Fabrizio.

But fear not Reds fans—there’s still hope. Romano reassured that Salah is open to extending his stay if the terms, project, and, yes, the money, align for the final big contract of his career.

For now, it seems like Salah’s future at Liverpool will be decided over some serious talks, with both the club and the player weighing their options.

Let’s see how this saga unfolds. Will Salah continue to dazzle at Anfield or wave goodbye in 2025? One thing’s for sure—this story is far from over.
