Man City are dealt with injuries right before the crucial FA CUP match against Liverpool. Liverpool on the other hand can make an ‘interesting’ change in the last playing XI against City.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has the ‘perfect opportunity to start Mid De Kieta for the City game.

Man City V Liverpool – Fa Cup Semi-final

Manchester City and Liverpool would be facing each other for the second time in a week, this time in the Semi-Finals of FA CUP.

They both had played out a 2-2 draw last Sunday in the Premier League.

Both the teams return from a “successful qualification” for the UCL Semi-Finals, after drawing their respective games. City and Liverpool progressed to the next round by beating Atletico and Benfica respectively on Aggregate.

Now both the teams shift their attention towards the Penultimate game of the Emirates FA Cup.

Liverpool and City Team News

Liverpool made several changes for their game against Benfica, rested 7 players as they needed a strong Squad for the City clash.

The Reds managed a 3-3 draw against Benfica, however, that was enough to see the latter through.

Jurgen Klopp has now the chance to start the same playing XI again, which played against City last week. But what remains crucial is will the Boss start Naby Keita, who’s never made a start against the PL Rivals.

Keita has played in around Eight matches against City, but never started against the Manchester team. Keita who has often not been taken in confidence in big games, but Klopp ahead of last year’s Madrid tie had said:

‘You need dribblers who can turn and make the next situation a big advantage. That is Naby’s job tonight’,

Will Naby start or again stay on the bench remains a ‘mystery’ with Klopp, meanwhile, the City manager has some bad news.

“We are in big trouble”, Pep Guardiola

Man City Manager Pep Guardiola wasn’t in the best of his moods, as he revealed various City players’ injuries.

Man City players Kevin De Bruyne and defender Kyle Walker had to be ‘taken out’ of the game against “Rojiblancos”.

City Manager Pep didn’t reveal the extent of the injury but was concerned about the upcoming game.

Pep spoke at the After-Match Press Conference,

Today we celebrate because it is the third time in Manchester City’s history, we are in the Champions League semi-finals,” he exclaimed.

He continued,

But we can’t forget we played three days ago, travelled, came here, have a lot of injuries now and I don’t know what will happen in the next weeks.

We cannot play all the time and score four or five goals; we are human beings – we come from a difficult game against Liverpool

With the situation at Man City looking tricky, and Klopp having a headache with the starting XI, one can expect a ‘tough’ clash at Wembley, coming Saturday.
