Liverpool have identified Dutch youngster Ryan Gravenberch as their next transfer target. The Reds are in the midst of a midfield rebuild.
Liverpool have already signed Alexis Mac Allister and now it’s time for the Reds to sign another midfielder. The Merseysiders are in this summer transfer market to bolster their midfield with new signings.
While Liverpool boss Klopp is possibly looking to cover the center of the midfield, as Thiago has been linked with a move away from Anfield.
Dutch midfielder Ryan Gravenberch to sign for Liverpool
As per a report via Spanish news outlet Fichajes, Liverpool have been asked to pay €25M as a signing fee for Ryan Gravenberch.
The Bayern Munich star ticks all the check-boxes for Liverpool, who are in urgent need of reinforcement.
The Dutch midfielder joined the Bavarians last summer from Ajax. He was one of the top youngsters to come out of Ajax’s youth academy.
But he has not been able to secure a spot in Bayern’s midfield. Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka have proved their worth more than the Dutchman.
He stated,
“I’ll wait. Training and playing at the highest level for a year is beautiful and instructive, although above all it’s training.
That has to change next season, I really want to play again week after week”
Gravenberch is young and surely that would help the Reds to lower the age profile of the midfield. The 21-year-old has experience playing as a no. 6, a no. 8, and a no. 10; similar to Thiago who also joined from Bayern.
Liverpool are looking for midfielders with good defensive attributes as well as technical ability and physicality. Standing at 6ft 2, Gravenberch is an imposing presence in the field and also adds some creative spark.
The Anfield giants are in the market also to get hold of a defender. If they land the signing of the Dutch midfielder for around €25M, they will definitely be able to afford two or three more players this summer
But for now, everyone should keep an eye on how Liverpool will pull off this signing.
