In the pre-match press conference, manager Jurgen Klopp gave team news for his Liverpool squad ahead of Sunday’s game versus Brentford in the premier league.

Liverpool are going to name the same squad that faced Arsenal on Thursday. According to Jurgen, there are no fresh injuries in the squad.

He did say that certain players picked up knocks in the EFL game, but nothing serious.

We got knocks last night: Robbo got a knock, Virg got a knock, Millie got a knock, but last night directly after the game, the medical department told me all will be fine

– Jurgen Klopp (14/01)

Klopp also gave an update on striker Divock Origi. Origi has been missing for the past eight games. He confirmed the rumour that Origi has stepped up his injury rehabilitation.

Yesterday he was outside running and looked really good, so I think he will not be too far …

– Jurgen Klopp(14/01)

After a disappointing result against 10 men Arsenal, Liverpool will be looking to bounce back with a win. Liverpool plays Brentford on Sunday, who currently sit 13th on the table. The return of striker Origi will certainly help The Reds achieve that.

In the game against Arsenal, Liverpool struggled in the final third in the absence of both Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah. With the return of Origi, they will have a powerful striker who will be able to finish Andy Roberston’s and Trent’s, who has only recently recovered, crosses.

Do you think that the line-up against Brentford should be the same as the one used against Arsenal? Do you think that some changes should be made to the line-up? If yes, what changes? Do let us know in the comments.

This is all Klopp had to say about Liverpool team news before the game against Brentford.
