Liverpool spies show interest in Real Sociedad forward Alexander Isak. The scouts have been pushing the boss and the management to sign the Swedish International on an ‘early’ basis.

Liverpool have already started looking forward to strengthening their front line in case the Egyptian departs. Moreover, the Reds will have keep a backup plan if they have already decided upon Salah’s situation.

It will be interesting to see what Liverpool does if Slaha makes a move away from Anfield. Thus, the scouts have already started working and have come across one such alternative in name of Alexander Isak.

Interest from clubs other than Liverpool for Isak

The La Liga club is expecting offers this summer, not only from Liverpool, but it’s in the Transfer Rumours that Manchester United and Barcelona are interested in the midfielder.

Standing at 6ft 2in and a strong physique is the Swedish International. He would definitely catch some eyeballs going into the Transfer Window.

The Sociedad Situation

Anfield personnel are said to have ‘recommended’ his signing to the club, opening the door for Klopp to make a move.

Real Sociedad, on other hand, will accept no less than the €90 million release clause in Isak’s contract, according to reports.

Sociedad are now said to be open to selling Isak if the right bid comes in, promising to entertain ‘important’ offers from ‘big clubs in Europe’.

It might just be the right time for them to get to a business considering big-money clubs’ interest.

Isak’s Performance

The 22-year-old forward is currently regarded as one of Europe’s hottest attacking commodities. Having put up solid numbers for Real Sociedad in successive seasons at a young age, while also impressing for Sweden at UEFA Euro 2020 last summer.

In 2020/21, he had his most prolific La Liga season, scoring 17 goals in 34 matches. He was a major driving force behind Real Sociedad’s Copa Del Rey triumph. Having netted seven goals in the cup run.

However, he has not been able to replicate his goal-scoring exploits this season, only finding the back of the net four times in the league.

It would be really interesting to see how would Klopp work with him. Yet another forward, ‘possibly’ a good replacement for Divock and Takumi who are ‘most’ likely leaving this summer.
