Liverpool are willing to offer a £98,000 per week deal to secure the signing of Ronald Araujo. Liverpool’s only key signing was Ibrahima Konate to strengthen their defence during the previous summer window. While this time sources say that the Reds are keen on getting another centre back in the upcoming transfer window.

According to El Nacional Klopp is impressed with the Uruguayan and Barcelona starlet. He is happy to see Ronald Araujo, the way he plays and wants to sign him. The addition of Ronald Araujo to Liverpool will solidify their defence.

Catalan sources claim that the 22-year-old, whose contract at Camp Nou ends in 2023 is not well paid. He is one of the lowest-paid players in the squad. The South American earns not even half a million euros annually. This is truly disheartening for a young lad of his calibre.

Liverpool willing secure the signing Ronald Araujo

It is true that Barcelona are ready to hand Ronald a new deal worth 3 million euros per season. However, Liverpool are readily offering double the amount of 6 million euros to seal his signing from the Spanish giants.

On the other hand, the Reds have also promised to give him a crucial role in the first team. This is to attract the boy to come over to the Merseyside. Ronald Araujo has 14 appearances for Barcelona this season with 5 clean sheets. The youngster also has made 5 appearances for his senior national side in the World Cup qualification campaign.

Liverpool squad already has quality defenders in their backline with the boast of Virgil Van Dijk, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate. Meanwhile, Nathaniel Phillips is another fantastic quality centre back but according to the rumours in the air, he might leave if a decent offer arrives. Thus, the former Premier League champions want to add Ronald Araujo to this pack.

There is actually no need for Jurgen Klopp to buy another central defender. If he has the plan of getting rid of someone, then this move would be necessary. If not, then Liverpool definitely have got a power-packed backline.
