Liverpool squeezed past Wolves with a late winner from Divock Origi, let’s have a look at the player ratings.

The Reds took a trip to Molineux Stadium to face the Wanderers, and the Merseyside club were left stranded. Jurgen Klopp’s side were held for the whole 90 minutes but thanks to super sub-king, who came to save the day.

The Belgian came off the bench to gift Jurgen yet another late winner, thus keeping them second at the table.

We were expecting a bigger scoreline but Bruno Lage’s side was not a walk in the park.

Wolves vs Liverpool – player ratings

Goal keeper and Defenders

Allison (GK) – 7/10

There was a slight hick-up with Van Dijk and kept Traore’s shot out of the goal. Simultaneously, was great in the second half.

Trent Alexander Arnold (RB) – 7/10

The teenager was busy as usual both in attack and defence. Curling few efforts into the six-yard box. Moreover, the tackle on Hee-Chan was quite a challenge.

Joel Matip (CB) – 7/10

Made few shaky passes in the initial stages of the game but later was showing signs of blending in with midfield. Likewise, was threatful in aerial duels and interceptions.

Virgil Van Dijk (CB) – 6/10

Not his day at the office. but still made a good impact in breaking their counters. Jimenez surely kept him busy in the defence.

Andy Robertson  (LB) – 6/10

It must be terrifying for him down the left defensive flank, where he had to manage brick-shaped Traore. Nevertheless, he did his job like an average joe, who also got his name on the ref’s notebook.

Midfielders

Fabinho (CDM) – 6/10

The Brazilian was impactful throughout the fixture but looked a bit slaggy on several occasions. He also made his name in the ref’s notebook while making brilliant attempts to break their counter-attacks.

Jorden Henderson (CM) – 6/10

The veteran made several passes through Wolves defence and key challenges. But wasn’t much enthusiastic in the second half though.

Thiago Alcantara (CM) – 8/10

So close to getting his name on the scoresheet in the second half. The Spaniard was clinical in mid who made several attacking plays.

Forwards

Sadio Mane (LW) – 7/10

Mane lived his moments when dropping deep but couldn’t create much room in the first 45 minutes. Nevertheless, made a brilliant attempt on goal, which was eventually kept out by Sa.

Diogo Jota  (CF) – 6/10

Got jeered by his former side, but gave them a gift by missing an open goal. Cushioned his header far off the post and also got his shot blocked.

Mohamed Salah (RW) – 7/10

The Egyptian’s magic wand couldn’t do its job today, but we can’t question him as he made few decent attempts. Besides, he was majorly responsible for Origi’s winner.

Subsitutes

Divock Origi (CF)  8/10

Oh Divock, you fancy having drama, don’t you? The Belgian came off the bench for Hendo and broke the hearts of the home side.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain  N/A

Came on for Jota at 82′, couldn’t make his impact on the pitch.

James Milner   N/A

Came on for Salah in the injury time to just walk on the pitch. But made an important clearance in the final stages of the game.
