Liverpool appears set to switch kit suppliers for the 2025/26 season, as their partnership with Nike comes to an end this season.
The current kit deal between Liverpool and Nike will come to an end at the end of this season, and the Reds are already preparing to change suppliers for the 2025/26 season.
However, no official announcement has been made yet, but rumours and leaks indicate that Adidas is likely going to be the new partner for the Reds.
Adidas has a long history with Liverpool, which shows that Adidas provided kits for LFC from 1985 to 1996 and then from 2006 to 2012. In those times, LFC had many of its most memorable moments of domestic and European success while wearing Adidas gear. As such, the standards for the new designs will be very high.
The leaked away kit for Liverpool revealed
Recently, leaks have surfaced, revealing what may be Liverpool’s first away kit of the 2023/24 season under Adidas. According to @FumlerRawk, who is known for being accurate on Liverpool kit leaks, next season’s away kit will be an off-white colour called ‘Wonder White’. This colour reminds of the Reebok away kit from the 1996–97 season as well as the Liverpool 2021/22 away kit.
Though the precise shade of ‘Wonder White’ has not been confirmed, comparisons to a similar colour found in the Mexico national team’s recent Adidas kit suggest that fans can expect a design that merges modern aesthetics with nostalgic nods to Liverpool’s past kits.
Liverpool’s relationship with Nike, which began in 2020, has been financially rewarding for the club, but the potential switch to Adidas could further enhance their revenue. Nike’s tenure has seen Liverpool enjoy substantial financial gains, but the return to Adidas is anticipated to offer additional benefits.
Before partnering with Nike, New Balance provided Liverpool’s uniforms from 2015 to 2020 and Warrior starting in 2012. Liverpool’s partnership with Adidas is significant, with two separate partnerships that produced many memorable kits. Liverpool’s kit was supplied by Umbro from 1973 to 1985 and by Reebok from 1996 to 2006 before Adidas.
