The next stop for Liverpool in these pre-season club friendlies is the Austrian league champions RB Salzburg.

The Reds will try to back their recent 5 – 0 victory in the upcoming game. As Liverpool will face RB Salzburg in the Red Bull Arena Salzburg, on 27th July 2022. Jurgen Klopp will be keen to rest his players as they travel back to London to face Manchester City on Saturday at Wembley for the Community Shield. It will be interesting to see how Liverpool will shape up for this game, as it will be perfect to grab the first trophy of the season.

Liverpool vs RB Salzburg potential lineup

The Merseyside giants registered their first pre-season win with a brilliant high-five against the German side. The club record signing Darwin Nunez showed his class by bagging 4 goals out of Liverpool’s five in the game. The 23-year-old Uruguayan striker came off the bench to score his first goal for the Reds and his first hat trick.

Darvin Nunez is highly expected to start this Wednesday replacing Roberto Firmino. Mohammad Salah and Luiz Diaz also have no threat to their starting positions this Friday.

Adrian to start because Klopp would prefer Allison to start the Community Shield and Caoimhin Kelleher is still missing from the camp. Moreover, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson will start alongside Virgil van Dijk. With Joel Matip striving to replace Ibrahima Konate for his place in the playing eleven.

Naby Keita would like to fancy his chances against his former team. Therefore will leave the club captain to be on the bench. As Thiago and Fabinho are expected to start

While Diego Jota, Allison, Joe Gomez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are all on the sidelines. It is important for the Reds to go home with a win and a positive mindset to face City.

Liverpool’s possible starting lineup: Adrian; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Keita, Fabinho, Thiago; Salah, Nunez, Diaz
