Jurgen Klopp, again dazzles outside of the pitch, as he reacted with a “Classic Klopp” reaction on comparisons of both Nunez and Haaland.

After finishing the last season’s Premier League in the top two with 92 and 93 points, Liverpool and Man City have made statement signings this summer. Both Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola have boosted their forward lines for next season. With multi-million-pound purchases of Darwin Nunez and Erling Haaland arriving at Merseyside and Manchester respectively.

Nunez and Haaland are more traditional number nine, and both forwards have moved to the Premier League’s two biggest contenders.

Over the years, the Premier League has witnessed some great rivalries amongst forwards. In early this century, fans witnessed Thierry Henry and Ruud van Nistelrooy fight for the golden foot. Subsequently, some years later, Luis Suarez, Sergio Aguero, and Robin van Persie were in the battle for the prize award.

The 2022-23 campaign holds the potential for an epic rivalry between the two most young talents in world football; Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez.

The newest Premier League strikers arrived with big-money price tags, similarly, both have long hair, and both scored a lot of goals last season. It was inevitable that comparisons were going to be made.

Klopp isn’t making comparisons between Nunez and Haaland seriously. Classic Klopp!

Jurgen Klopp dismissed all the comparisons between the strikers and has refused to take them seriously.

Klopp breaks out in laughter while speaking to Viaplay Fotball:

One is left-footed, the other is right-footed,

One is from Norway, the other one is from Uruguay, they are big differences!

I’m not sure if the temper builds that up, I think Erling could be from South America as well.

Klopp aimed at the interviewer Jan Aage Fjortoft (a famous Norway striker). saying:

Darwin could not be from Norway. Norwegian strikers tend to be slightly crazy, how you know best,

However, Klopp did eventually give Fjortoft something closer to the answer and asserting Haaland is “an absolutely great player” that he “loves.”

Another Classic Klopp moment for the fans.

Liverpool boss cleverly sent the message to all that Nunez doesn’t need to be compared with anyone else.
