Nearly 33 Liverpool players get a call-up, to represent their national team during the March, International Break. With a ‘mix’ of both First team and Academy players, the Liverpool contingency has a lot to offer.
Few players would be missing the break due to injury concerns. Whereas few just could not make the ‘cut’ for their Country.
The one’s who miss out from the Liverpool squad in the International Break
Trent Alexander Arnold and Naby Keita have ruled themselves out of the selection process, as they are not match fit yet.
Roberto ‘Bobby’ Firmino misses as well. As he fails to impress the Brazilian Boss Tite, going into the World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Bolivia. Red’s midfielder Thiago Alcântara also fails to book his place in the Spanish side.
Scotland Captain Andy Robertson, is also yet to give confirmation as his Covid result is awaited. Whereas, Liverpool’s men at the goal Adrian and Loris Karius have also been neglected by their National squads.
The one’s who made the cut
Star forwards Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah would be taking on each other for a place in the upcoming World Cup. As ‘The Pharaohs’ take on the ‘Lions of Teranga’ in a two-legged match at the end of March.
Japan are also on their way to book a place for themselves at 2022 Qatar World Cup. They have selected Liverpool forward Takumi Minamio, for the same reason.
Portugese national Diogo Jota has also ‘earned’ himself a call-up to his national squad who are due to face Turkey in their play-off semi finals.
Luis Diaz is all set to represent the South American side of Colombia in their matches against Venezuela and Bolivia.
Netherlands player and Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk is to lead his country in the ‘friendlies’ against Denmark and Germany. Liverpool Captain Jordan Henderson and forward Divock Origi will also be representing their Nations England and Belgium ‘respectively’ in the upcoming friendlies.
