After a disappointing performance in the first half and after going down 1-0, Liverpool came back to win the game against Norwich 3-1. Here are the player ratings from the Liverpool Norwich game.

Player Ratings Liverpool vs Norwich

Goalkeepers & Defenders

Alisson Becker (GK) – 7.5/10

Had to deal with a lot of crosses and it did cause some uneasy moments. However, cannot be blamed for Norwich’s goal. The Brazilian’s distribution was also on point yesterday. Not only did he assist Salah’s goal, but also gave 4 accurate long ball passes.

Joe Gomez (RB) – 7/10

A surprise start at right-back with Trent Alexander-Arnold rested for this match. Despite, the right-back not being his favoured role, he had a decent game. Proved to be a good outlet and backup for Salah. He played 2 key passes, 5 accurate long balls and was dispossessed only once.

Joel Matip (CB) – 6/10

Had an alight first-half, but was caught out a couple of times during Norwich’s counters. His outstretched boot deflected Rashica’s shot away from Alisson and led to Norwich’s goal.

Virgil van Dijk (CB) – 7/10

Unlucky to have his goal scrapped out by offside, but other than that had a good game. Played one key pass, 4 successful long balls, 4 clearances and 8 recoveries.

Kostas Tsimikas (LB) – 7/10

Missed an easy chance to score a goal, but in the end, had a good game. Went and got himself an assist, had two key passes with 8 recoveries.

Midfielders

Jordan Henderson (CM) – 8/10

The skipper completed the most passes on the pitch(106) and was the most accurate passer with a 97% success rate. Did some really important defensive work and had a good passing tempo. Even assisted Luis Diaz’s goal.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (CM) – 5/10

The 28-year-old had an awful game. He looked very rusty one and off the ball. His poor passing and getting turned over in possession led to him being replaced by Thiago.

Naby Keita (CM)- 7/10

Worked extremely hard and was involved in a lot of build-ups for the team. He also had some very decent defensive covering and was unlucky to be substituted.

Forwards

Mohamed Salah (RW) – 9/10 (Man of the match)

The Egyptian had a brilliant game and was unlucky to not have scored more. He created the most chances(6) on the pitch and finished off Alisson’s long ball brilliantly for his 150th goal for the club. A very well deserved man of the match.

Sadio Mane (ST) – 8/10

Played a really good game in the no.9 position. Not only did he score a brilliant overhead kick, but also showed great link-up play and great intent of pressing. Did miss 1 big chance, but also gave a key pass.

Luis Diaz (LW) – 8/10

The new signing got himself his first goal for Liverpool. Had a lot of attempted dribbles and runs, but could not make much out of it. Gave 5 key passes and was also industrious.

Substitutes

Thiago (CM) – 7.5/10

Came in and had an instant impact on the game. Liverpool’s passing improved and the midfield was way calmer.

Divock Origi (ST) – 7/10

Finally, fit enough to play, the Belgian got around 30 minutes of game time. In those 30 mins, the 26-year-old caused a lot of problems for Norwich defence and also came close to scoring.

Takumi Minamino (LW) – N/A

Did not really have time to impact the game.
