Jurgen Klopp has revealed Trent Alexander-Arnold will miss Liverpool’s FA Cup match against Nottingham Forest due to an injury. While Mohamed Salah’s foot issue is also emerging as a reason for concern.

The England international has a hamstring injury and will be out of the Three Lions team for the March break.

With Trent Alexander Arnold, sidelined for weeks and scheduled to ‘probably’ return in next month’s clash against Manchester City, things can get tough at the back.

Update on Trent injury from the Boss

At a recently conducted press conference, this is what Klopp had to say,

Trent is out with ‘hamstring’ so he can not be part of England as well. No good news, we will see how long that takes. Weeks (out for weeks), yeah.

It’s tricky, we will see how long it will take. To replace Trent is difficult but possible. We always did it. (We’ll) have Milly when he is not ill anymore, we have Joe obviously, theoretically we can change system as well. We have a couple of options but he is very influential.

With Jurgen Klopp revealing that replacing Trent could be ‘possible’ in the immediate run, he’ll definitely have planned out the weeks without his ‘key’ player.

The stats don’t lie

With the right-back not only donning Liverpool’s defense but also contributing to the goals, the team will surely miss an all-round player here.

After providing 7 assists this season in the Premier League, and being joint third in the list, his chip in’s and crosses have really worked the ‘magic’ for Klopp and his team.

Klopp on Salah injury

Mo (Salah) felt his foot again a little bit after the game so we have to see what we do with that. On top of that some other bits and bobs. We have to wait and it’s always like this.

he updated at the pressers’.

With Salah and Trent both being crucial in the final third’s for Liverpool this season it could be ‘interesting’ to see what the team has in offer without them.
