Good news for Liverpool academy players, as they earn ‘England’ call up
With 10 Liverpool, youngsters called up to the National team, it could be an exciting few weeks ahead. Liverpool academy players are to represent England in their respective age ‘categories’.
Right from the U21 to U17 level Liverpool’s presence is will not be missed.
The players are surely going are to get a good exposure playing at the ‘International’ stage right from early stages of their careers.
The International break comes after Liverpool’s game against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup. With this being the season’s last break, the ‘young’ guns would look to make the most of it.
Liverpool ‘Red’ at each level and ready to play for England
Regular first-team players Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones are added to the England U-21 squad. After being forced to miss last time due to injury. It might really bolster their chances against Andorra and Albania in the Euro Qualifiers.
Tyler Morton, likewise, has made it to the England under-20s squad. They are due for friendlies against Poland (March 25) and Germany (March 29).
Whereas, academy defenders Luke Chambers and Jarell Quansah, are going to represent at the under-19 level in their ‘quest’ for Euro’s. They are due to face the Republic of Ireland (March 23), Armenia (March 26) and Portugal (March 29).
Young striker Oakley Cannonier, joined by centre-backs Lee Jonas and Terence Miles are to represent England under-18. Whereas Isaac Mabaya earns his maiden call up. They are to going to play Sweden (March 25) and Denmark (March 28) in Spain.
Liverpool Left-back Calum Scanlon too has made his place in the England under-17 team for their upcoming matches against France (March 26) and Luxembourg (March 29), to qualify for the Euros.
All in all, it could really be an ‘exciting’ month ahead for our young players. They will be looking to ‘seize’ this opportunity and make the most of it.
