Moises Caicedo to Arsenal

Liverpool could now make a surprise signing in the last minutes of the winter transfer window

According to reports Liverpool target Moises Caicedo is ready to hand in a transfer request and force a move away from the English side Brighton.

The Ecuadorian has been linked with the Reds throughout the transfer window. And now, according to The Daily Mail, he’s ‘desperate’ to leave the South Coast club.

The desperation of a midfielder

That desperation will reportedly now lead to the submission of a transfer request. It’s claimed that Caicedo is ‘dreaming’ of a move to London.

The current league leaders Arsenal claimed to have had a £60M bid rejected for the 21-year-old. The Gunners are looking to offer a second bid of around £80M in the coming days. It’s claimed that Brighton may be ‘tempted’ to let their unhappy star go.

It seems the Reds are not able to match the Gunners and the Blues in this transfer race.

The Merseyside giants are looking for a midfielder and the Ecuadorian international looked like a good fit but his price is a bit too much at this point in time.

The Brighton star is definitely a generational talent but £80M for a player who has played 18 matches and only scored one goal and given one assist in the whole 2022-23 season is a bit too much.

Moises Caicedo to Liverpool is possible?

Although, there is still a slim chance for this deal to happen. If Arsenal and Chelsea could not match the transfer amount and Brighton had to lower Moises’s price then LFC will jump back into the race.

Liverpool has a history to hijack transfers. Recently Manchester United were monitoring Cody Gakpo but it was the Merseyside club who had the last laugh in case of the Holland international.

But will the Reds take the financial risk for the Seagull star or they will wait for another window for the English star Jude Bellingham?
