Liverpool are eagerly looking for the signatures of German star Florian Neuhaus

Liverpool are keen on making a move for German star Florian Neuhaus. According to Fichajes, Liverpool are interested in the Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder. He is the top target for Jurgen Klopp to strengthen the midfield.

Florian Neuhaus will bid farewell to Bundesliga after the following summer and is likely to move to Premier League. Ever since Marco Rose left Borussia Monchengladbach, Florian Neuhaus was expected to shine for the German side.

Sadly, it has not been going well for the German international. He has started off this season’s campaign with only five starts in 3 months in the Bundesliga. It seems as though Adi Hutter prefers Denis Zakaria and Kouadio Kone over Florian Neuhaus. It might be due to their work ethics and midfield aggression.

However, Florian Neuhaus is more of a creative-minded player who works on breaking through defences. He is accurate with through balls and this shows a lot of variety in him. These are the exact qualities that Jurgen Klopp looks for. Hence, he will fit well in Jurgen Klopp’s strategy.

Should Liverpool go for Florian Neuhaus?

The biggest worry now is that Florian Neuhaus has been lacking game time. Thus, his progression and growth look to be hampered. So, it will be a risk if Liverpool goes for him. Besides that, no doubt over his talent as he seems to be an ideal replacement for Toni Kroos for Germany in the near future.

It could be risky for Liverpool to pursue him because he doesn’t offer much variety. However, the 24-year-old could turn out to be a perfect fit for a possession-based system.

Therefore, it would be a clever choice from The Reds to cease this move. They can rather try shifting their attention to his teammate Denis Zakaria. He is much more efficient for the high-press and can replace Jordan Henderson who is ageing as well.

Florian Neuhaus has scored just once in 9 games this season. He has featured in 104 Bundesliga games overall for Borussia Monchengladbach scoring 14 goals and having 15 assists to his name. This will indeed be challenging for him to raise his bar if he steps into the English Premier League.

Therefore, Liverpool must give a second thought before making a move for the German.
