Liverpool are close to getting the Darwin Nunez deal done in this week

Liverpool deal for signing Darwin Nunez is practically done. The transfer will be the second biggest sale in Benfica’s history. However, the Portuguese club will only get £51million from the sale.

The Reds’ summer transfer window has started moving. This will be their most important and landmark window in recent memory.

The window will be full of talks. Whether it be contract extension, arrivals, or departures, there will be a lot of speculations.

And Liverpool have made a great start. The club has already signed Fabio Carvalho. Apart from this, they have also extended the contract of Veteran James Milner.

And now they have made their biggest move.

The Liverpool & Darwin Nunez deal is almost done

Darwin Nunez has long been associated with Liverpool. And the newest rumours imply that a deal with Benfica is almost complete.

According to an exclusive report published by Correio da Manha today, the Uruguayan sale would be the club’s second-largest move ever. Although they will only receive £51 million.

Liverpool will pay €80 million upfront (without add-ons). But the Liga Nos side will only be able to bank €60 million (£51 million) from that money, according to a well-known Portuguese source.

According to reports, €11.2 million will be handed to Almeria. As they sold the South American in 2020 with a future selling clause.

Jorge Mendes has been in charge of the transfer and will receive 10% of the proceeds. Former agents Lasalvia, Macedo, and Goncalves, who handled the player’s negotiations when he moved to Portugal, will also receive a part.

According to CdM, Liverpool initially offered €70 million-plus €30 million in add-ons, but Benfica rejected the deal. The Reds then made a second approach, this time for €80 million plus 20 million in add-ons.

The Eagles are still seeking an additional 5 million euros but according to Correio da Manha, Nunez is likely to join the Merseysiders, who have already negotiated personal terms with the player.

Manchester United have constantly been trying to sign the forward and will continue to do so until they have officially lost the battle, according to the media site.
