Leeds United 0-3 Liverpool: Salah completes 100 Premier League goals

In the Matchday 4 of the Premier League 2021-22. Liverpool makes it 10 points after winning over Leeds United at Elland Road by 0-3. Liverpool moves up to third, level on points with Chelsea and Manchester United. Meanwhile, Leeds remain winless this season so far.

The first goal arrives at the 20-minute mark and is scored by the winger Mohamed Salah. After scoring the goal Salah becomes the fifth-fastest player to reach 100 goals in Premier League history. The second half begins on a high note from both ends. The second goal comes at the 50th-minute mark as Liverpool midfielder Fabinho a tap-in from a corner. The game is somewhat marred, though, by a dislocated ankle of midfielder Harvey Elliott, who was stretchered off the field. Thus, this comes from a sliding challenge from the defender Pascal Struijk. Which made the departure of Leeds defender, Pascal Struijk as he was shown a straight red.

At last, the third goal comes from Liverpool into the stoppage time by Sadio Mane, who was desperate to get on the scoresheet. Jurgen Klopp was impressed by the way the Reds execute their game plan to achieve a 3-0 victory over Leeds.

The boss Jurgen Klopp was very happy with the effort and performance of his team. Thus, praising it by saying “really good game”. But on the other hand, Klopp is concerned about the injury of Elliott, he says

“Harvey Elliott is in hospital, a bad ankle injury for sure. It looked like it was dislocated, the medical department put it back. Massive pain, shock for him, for us and we don’t know more.”

Further, when Klopp was asked about the form of the team when they won the title, he said

“I’m not interested in the form we were in when we won the title, I’m interested in the best possible shape we can have now,”

Liverpool take lots of chances but the boss is not happy with that he wants the conversion rate to be high. Liverpool takes 30 shots on the target but finds only 3 goals. Thus, the boss said in a post-match press conference

“We should have had more clear cut chances. we had a lot of shots but we should have had more clear cut chances.”

Overall, Klopp was quite happy with the performance of his boys. Apart from the injury scare, the Reds had a perfect game. To sum up, 3 points, 3 goals and a clean sheet.
