Klopp receives a sack warning from Liverpool as they continue to struggle

Big news comes from Anfield as Jurgen Klopp receives a sack warning. The Liverpool manager has led the team through a difficult first half of the season, but the Reds have been warned that a number of teams would be ready to pounce if he is fired.

It’s safe to say that Liverpool’s 2022–23 season has been a complete failure so far. Only eight of Jurgen Klopp’s team’s first 20 games have resulted in victories, and they now sit in tenth place in the Premier League rankings. During their most recent outing, where they lost to Wolves, things only got worse.

It’s a pity how tough times always weigh over the good times, and Klopp’s tenure in Liverpool seems to be evaluated the same. From a third-person perspective, after Arsene Wenger, Premier League didn’t see a manager who could be as efficient as Jurgen Klopp with such a minimal budget year after year.

Last season’s abundance of games took a toll on the locker room, and it is clearly reflected on the turf. It isn’t something that can be recovered overnight. Anyways, this news comes as a shock to many.

What Carragher says about Klopp sack

However, in lighter news, Manchester City have been punished with over 100 charges for breaking the Premier League’s financial regulations, giving rise to the cheeky optimism that a few championships may be on their way to Anfield.

If the Reds decide to fire Jurgen Klopp, a huge number of Europe’s top teams will reportedly be waiting in the wings to recruit the German, according to former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore.

While Liverpool legend Carragher said:

“The reality is, if FSG sack Klopp, there is no one else out there better equipped to do a better job. So anyone calling for him to go should be careful what they wish for because I’m certain that if he suddenly became available, you’d have Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, PSG and even Chelsea all lining up.”

Speaking about Klopp, Danny Murphy asserts that the manager consistently errors by benching Jordan Henderson, the team’s captain.

Murphy to talkSPORT:

“I’m still surprised that every time I see a Liverpool team sheet. I don’t see them train, but I don’t care how he is training, Henderson plays every game for me, still. He is the heartbeat of the midfield, he’s still got the legs to do it, and for some reason, he [Klopp] keeps leaving him out.”

Lucas Leiva on Premier League shenanigans

Following the allegations brought against Man City, former Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has humorously questioned whether he is still the Premier League champion.

After hearing the news, the Brazilian midfielder said on Twitter:

“Am I a Premier League champion?”

Manchester City has been punished with over 100 charges for breaking the Premier League’s financial regulations and thus, they could be stripped off their title in the 2013-14 season. While the Reds finish second during that season thus, Anfield road might welcome a trophy very soon.
