Klopp and LFC extend league stronghold to seven years

With the win against West Ham, Klopp and LFC have now made it seven years without letting an opposition do a double on them.

Liverpool have now played 27 games in the league, losing only two of them. One of them came against Saturday’s opposition West Ham.

LFC and Klopp keep the League double record intact

Saturday presented the Hammers with a rare opportunity to a double over the Reds. However, thanks to a Sadio Mane goal Liverpool made sure no team did a double over for the last seven years.

This shows the kind of dominance that LFC have created in the premier league under Jurgen Klopp.

The only team to have done this was Manchester United. Incidentally, their record was broken by LFC under the manager before Jurgen Klopp, Brendan Rogers.

To add to this massive feat, it is important to note that LFC have just lost 34 times under Jurgen Klopp. This shows the massive impact that Klopp has had on the club.

On the other hand, Liverpool can complete eight league doubles of their own in the remaining eleven games in the premier league.

This also shows the kind of home dominance Liverpool have created during the reign of Jurgen Klopp. Anfield has become a fortress under Klopp and Liverpool don’t look like they are going to move away from that in the recent games and seasons.

With the title race heating up, this result only brings good news to Liverpool. After Manchester City’s win over Manchester United, the difference between the two remains 6 points.

However, Liverpool have played a game lesser than the premier league champions.

Do you think Liverpool can win the league this season? Could we see them catching up with Manchester City soon? Especially after the signing of the current in-form Liverpool star Luis Diaz?
