Jurgen Klopp believes Fabio Carvalho can make a major impact as the Premier League season gets underway and is setting him up for a key role.

Fabio Carvalho, a new summer acquisition from Fulham, is likely to play a major role for Liverpool this season, according to Jurgen Klopp.

Carvalho was a standout for the Cottagers during their Championship-winning campaign last year. He went on tallying 11 goals and eight assists across all competitions. As the first of Klopp’s three purchases so far in this transfer window, he earned a £5 million transfer to Anfield.

Jurgen might give Carvalho a really important squad role

Carvalho primarily plays as an offensive midfielder for Fulham. He was to spend the majority of this season on the bench. However, Klopp gave a hint that the 19-year-old would be playing a bigger part than the experts believe ahead of Liverpool’s season-opening matchup against the young player’s former team.

Klopp loves his behaviour and massive talent. He believes he doesn’t have to wait for him to turn 22/23 to start playing him. Rather he can be a really useful asset for the team. And If Injuries don’t ruin anything he can play a really important part in the squad.

According to assistant manager Pep Lijnders, Carvalho is the signing for the future and is as important as Diaz or Nunez.

Liverpool travels to Craven Cottage for their first game of the new Premier League season. And Carvalho will get the opportunity to play against his former teammates right away. Despite Marco Silva’s club currently being without its top player Carvalho, Klopp is anticipating a challenging fixture.

Klopp hailed the Fulham team for the work they have been putting in and what they have put in over the course of the last year. Moreover, he believes getting a promotion from the EFL Championship is one of the hardest things to do in football.
