Liverpool are out of Injury woes, the Reds faced Arsenal last weekend with 8 players residing on the injury bench. On Tuesday evening, a 24-man squad were present at Kirkby on their preparations for welcoming Porto. With six players returning to the squad from injury, Jurgen Klopp will surely have more options to rotate now.

After winning all the 4 group matches and already registering their place in the round of 16, Liverpool welcomes Porto to Anfield for the 5th round of the Champions League group stage fixture. A big win from last weekend against Arsenal and with players returning from Injury gives a huge boost to the Reds in building on their winning momentum.

Liverpool players back to the training following their Injury woes

Jurgen Klopp gave a hint earlier in the press conference saying

We have to think about ourselves and our schedule, and the situation of our players first.

The skipper Jorden Henderson who came from the bench last weekend is back on the list with, James Milner, Andy Robertson, Neco Williams, Diego Jota, and Divok Origi. Liverpool have already secured their spot for the round of 16 as group winners. With players returning from Injury gives Klopp the option to rest players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil Van Dijk, Sadio Mane, and Joel Matip.

Ibrahima Konate, Takumi Minamino, and Divok Origi all need playing time. Especially the forwards so that they can step in when Salah and Mane leave for their respective national duties.

It’s good news for Jurgen Klopp to see players returning from injury before this busy festive run of the season. It is also important that the players returning from injury get enough game time to bring their form back soon so that the Reds will have solid in-form players on the field and on the bench. Thus, it will eventually help them in strengthening their squad’s dept
