Under Jurgen Klopp’s stewardship, Liverpool have just nine PL matches left to play, of which four out of nine matches are at Anfield. Ian Wright, a notable football pundit, takes a closer look and shares insights on the fixtures Liverpool are set to face in the upcoming days.
Wright’s Assessment of the Reds Away Fixtures
With Arsenal and Manchester City in hot pursuit of the league title, it will be fairly difficult for the Reds to win a second league title for Klopp.
William Saliba stated that the atmosphere at Liverpool’s home ground – Anfield, can take the Reds through any game.
Klopp’s team would have to keep their focus strong for the trophy, battle hard, and show that famous winning spirit.
On the other hand, Ian Wright is a huge Arsenal fan but also has a soft spot for the Reds.
“When you look at Liverpool’s [fixtures] and you look at those three away games, you just feel like they’ve got to make sure they get something from those games. Those three there – Fulham, Everton and West Ham – to be away from home three games in a row. I think that’s big.”
said Wright, watching closely to see how Liverpool manages to handle these big away matches.
Three huge matches in just six days could define Liverpool’s season. They can’t afford to lose points away if they want to be champions.
They must be tough and flexible, ready for anything these away games throw at them.
Liverpool’s Schedule for Three Matches
Before the trio of away trips, Liverpool have three more matches to win first. To collect three more points on the table, the Thursday night’s visit to Sheffield United must be taken care of, as it is a very crucial opportunity for the Reds.
Then LFC have a significant journey to Old Trafford, with their next match against Crystal Palace at Anfield.
Then the schedule hits up to the ‘big three’ Ian Wright was referring to. All come within the timeline of less than a week.
The Reds are up against Fulham first, on the 21st of April, then the Merseyside Derby on the 24th, with a West Ham fixture on the 27th of April.
Let’s hope Liverpool can make it through to the 28th of April, still bagging the top of the league table.
Liverpool’s Title Aspirations
Liverpool’s away games play a very significant role in their way to win the Premier League trophy again. Every single match is super important as they aim for another league title.
With the pressure building and fans eagerly watching, Liverpool needs to stay focused and determined to stay at the top of the Premier League table.
