Fabio Carvalho is already balling in Liverpool training sessions

Fabio Carvalho has already made his intentions clear on becoming the best in the world. And to make his words count, Carvalho has already been impressing his new teammates on the training pitch with his talent.

Carvalho attended his new club’s first day of preseason the day after being formally introduced at the AXA Training Center on Sunday. Moreover, he said he joined Liverpool to become the best in the world

The 19-year-old was able to start ball training with many of his teammates on Tuesday after completing the lactate test in the gym on Monday. The agenda included rondos, small-sided game situations, and pressing drills.

From the early preseason footage given by LFCTV, it is obvious that Carvalho will have no trouble acclimating to the pace at Liverpool.

And Rhys Williams, who is a member of the Reds’ summer training squad, is one of many who has lauded the young player’s early effect.

Rhys Williams on the performance of Carvalho in training

He told LFCTV:

“We’ve already seen with Fabio training today and yesterday, he’s of a high, high standard. He’s brilliant on the ball, he’s getting used to the way we want to play and the way we want to press. I think everyone that the club has signed is going to have a massive impact for us.”

Along with Darwin Nunez and Calvin Ramsay, Carvalho is one of Liverpool’s three new additions this summer. Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino, and Neco Williams will shortly be among the team’s exits.

While Alex Oxlade-personal Chamberlain’s position is still up in the air. Moreover, he thinks that players like Carvalho can make a difference in the ranks ahead of a new campaign.

The 28-year-old said:

“Fab, he’s obviously a young player, very technically gifted. I saw a few little bits from him at Fulham last year, and from guys I know there, they all speak very highly of him. I’m sure we’re going to see him learn from a lot of the boys around here as well and settle in. Just any new faces like that breed the competition for places and a bit of excitement – something new, something fresh. It sort of makes everyone stick it into the next gear to impress and to make sure the standards stay high. It’s a good thing, always.”

Moreover, in recent transfer windows, there has been a definite focus on youth in the club’s recruitment process. The club has signed Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, and Ibrahima Konate, who all are comprising a new generation at Anfield.

Williams still has a chance to be kept as the fifth-choice center-back. But he is seen as having a significant impact on the upcoming season.

Chamberlain was full of appreciation for other youngsters as well. He believes players like Harvey and Curtis are going to play a massive part in the Reds’ season.
