‘There’s a guy’: Don Hutchinson says £10m midfielder would be perfect for Liverpool

Former Red and BBC pundit Don Hutchinson suggested that Liverpool sign RB Leipzig midfielder Xaver Schlager in January.

An electrifying match on Saturday evening between Arsenal and the Reds ended up in a 1-1 draw. Both the teams had to share a point each, which did not change the point difference between these two sides.

“Liverpool can’t win the league in my opinion if they don’t sign a specialised number six. Palhinha at Fulham, I think he’s amazing.

There’s a guy at Leipzig called Xaver Schlager, an Austrian guy, he’s amazing and very disciplined in his position.”

Without taking anything from him, Wataru Endo was a hurried summer signing after LFC could not sign any of their desired targets. So the club will want a long-term solution for the no. 6 position.
