Despite all the speculations about the injury situation of Dominik Szoboszlai, Liverpool might have him back in action very soon, as per the latest update.

The delicate form of the Anfield giants have set them cruising this season, as they have only lost 3 games across all competitions. They are currently the 1st positioned side in the PL after 20 games with 45 points.

Moreover, the recent 2-0 victory against Arsenal in the FA Cup 3rd round was a testament to their scary good form. However, it has not been effortless for Klopp and Co. to achieve these heights.

For the last few games, the Reds boss did not have many of his key players due to injuries and unavailability. Especially the midfield has been the most affected department due to these conditions.

Dominik Szoboszlai shares injury update

Although the new year has proven to be very successful for the Merseyside club, that has not been the case for Dominik Szoboszlai. The Hungarian skipper received a hamstring injury during the clash against Newcastle United on New Year’s Day.

This has ruled him out for the last few games and the date of his return is still unknown. However, on Monday night, he attended the 23-year-old back in his country to receive the Hungarian Male Sports Person of the Year award for 2023.

Prior to the ceremony, the midfielder spoke to M4 Sport and shared about his progress.

“I’m getting better. The first game of the year didn’t go as planned [for me], but it won’t take long and I’ll be back.”

Szoboszlai said.

This update is positive for LFC especially when it is coming from the player himself. For the times Szoboszlai has been on the team, he has been very influential and effective.

Even though, it will be too optimistic to speculate that he could return on midweek for the Fulham game, the prospect of him returning in action by January 21 against Bournemouth is not far fetched.
