Nunez vs Amartey would be a match to watch at Anfield, as Liverpool will be looking for their fourth consecutive Premier League win on Friday against Leicester at home.

The Reds have secured a sublime 3-1 win against Unai Emery’s Aston Villa on Boxing day. On the other hand, Brendan Rodger’s side is still struggling to get a win.

Liverpool vs Leicester

Leicester are currently sitting in the 13th position. On the other hand, the Merseyside giants are chasing the top 4 spot. If Jurgen Klopp’s team continues its winning streak, they will narrow the gap to just 2 points with Tottenham, who currently holds the 4th place.

The Foxes are looking for their forward line to perform. Leicester’s entire system is dependent upon their number 10, James Maddison. The England international has been exemplary for Brendan Rodger’s team in the past 18 months. However, the attacking midfielder is out of the squad due to injury issues.

Nunez or Amartey who will shine?

Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez will be under immense pressure ahead of the Leicester clash. The Uruguayan is under some serious criticism because of his recent form. Since returning from a disappointing World Cup campaign, the 23-year-old missed some clear-cut opportunities against Villa and Man City.

Nunez’s main resistance would be Fox’s center-back Daniel Amartey. The battle is going to be chaotic. Both the players are aggressive. They won’t step down in case of any physical battle. Jurgen Klopps sideline guidance will be instrumental to keep Darwin calm throughout the match.

LFC fans have already witnessed Darwin’s infamous head-butt against Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen. Amartey would be looking to recreate that incident to send off the Uruguayan international.

Liverpool have scored at least once in each of their previous 31 PL home fixtures. During this time, the Reds’ only defeat came against Leeds United in the month of October (W23, D7, L1). Thus, a crispy goal-scoring contest is on the cards for the neutrals.
