After having an amazing season with Benfica this year, Darwin Nunez is all set to join Liverpool FC this summer as both have agreed on a deal.

Darwin Nunez is an Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a striker and has been playing with Primeira Liga club Benfica which finished 3rd in their table.

Moreover, Darwin Nunez has performed very well for Benfica and the contribution of the Uruguayan has been very salient. The 22-year-old has scored 34 goals in all competitions this season which also helped Benfica to reach the quarter-final stage in the UEFA Champions League.

However, the journey of Darwin Nunez has come to an end and a new journey for him begins as he will be welcomed in Anfield after reaching a full agreement with the Reds.

According to the Portuguese outlet Record, Darwin Nunez is about to be a Liverpool player and has agreed on a contract with Liverpool.

Moreover, we have already seen the impact of an Uruguayan player before when Luis Suarez scored and helped Liverpool win many matches and left the club almost as a legend. Darwin Nunez will be seen as a key player in the upcoming season.

The deal of Darwin Nunez will be the second most expensive deal in Portuguese football history with a deal of 68 million pounds with 17 million pounds more as an add on for a five-year contract and the full deal will be completed by the end of the week.

Furthermore, Liverpool are also looking forward to signing more players like Calvin Ramsay as there are some speculations going on regarding players like Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino and Naby Keita about their future.

The pre-season training for Liverpool will be starting in July and if the deal gets completed Darwin Nunez will be joining the Merseyside club in July.
