Kopites, brace yourselves for another heartbreak! According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are preparing for yet another departure this summer, following the news of Fabio Carvalho’s move. This time it is Kaide Gordon.
The Reds have been uncharacteristically quiet in the transfer market during the first six weeks. Though, no incoming news is in the air, recent departures suggest that activity is picking up at the Anfield arena.
Carvalho was one of the standout performers during Liverpool’s pre-season under Arne Slot. He even scored impressive goals against Arsenal and Manchester United. But apparently that was not enough to convince the management to retain him.
As of now, Carvalho has been confirmed to join Brentford on a permanent deal. Despite his promising performances, his future with Liverpool remained uncertain, leading to his decision to part ways.
Liverpool Ready to Part With Gordon
In addition to Carvalho now another departure is knocking at the door of the Reds. Romano has revealed that young talent Kaide Gordon is also set to leave Liverpool. But contrary to Carvalho, he will be out on a loan basis. As we all know Romano’s news is as well as a judge’s verdict.
The 19-year-old winger, highly praised for his potential, is nearing a season-long loan move to Swansea City. This loan spell in the Championship will provide Gordon with valuable playing time and a chance to further develop his skills.
Gordon has already made seven senior appearances for Liverpool and even scored a goal. Jurgen Klopp and several Liverpool players, including Diogo Jota, have been particularly impressed with Gordon’s abilities. Once asked about Gordon’s future in April 2022, Jota quickly replied:
“Kaide Gordon! His future looks great.”
