What next for Liverpool after securing Martin Zubimendi deal?
Liverpool hope to secure the signing of Martin Zubimendi soon, But what next for the Reds? Is Zubimendi the only signing necessary?
To compete with the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea signings are necessary. But that doesn’t mean we spend money on every player available. Transfers should be sensible, but most importantly it should be the right player.
Possible Signings For Liverpool after Martin Zubimendi
Liverpool are the only club yet to make a signing in the Premier League. Hopefully we secure the signing of Zubimendi soon so that we can look at other positions and players.
An ideal transfer window for the Reds will be signing a defensive midfielder, Center-back, and a wide forward. Liverpool really did not replace Fabinho who left the club last summer, signing Martin Zubimendi will hopefully be as impactful as Fabinho was for the Liverpool midfield. Zubimendi is certainly an upgrade to players we already have at that position.
Now what Liverpool need is a center-back, preferably a left-footed center back. With Joel Matip leaving, Konate being injury prone, Quansah still learning, Van Den Berg with an unclear future signing a defender is a must. A left-footed center-back might be a solution to our defensive issues.
A long term replacement for Mo Salah who is out of contract next summer is necessary. The only back-up option in the right is Harvey Elliot who is best in the No. 10 position. So signing a young wide forward should be on list of priorities for the club going forward.
Fans are optimistic the club will complete the signing of Zubimendi soon and will soon pursue other targets.
