Bobby Clark, a promising highly touted prospect from Newcastle United, has joined Liverpool for an undisclosed compensation price.

Liverpool FC officially announced the acquisition of Bobby Clark from Newcastle United Academy. The move was in the speculations for a long now and The Reds finally reached an agreement with Newcastle earlier in the week. The teenager will shortly be joining the Reds’ Under-18 setup.

Bobby Clark is expected to have a bright future ahead, with scouting experts from the major Premier League clubs kept a close eye on him.

The midfield prodigy, son of the former Newcastle United Legend Lee Clark, was supposed to rise through the ranks at Tyneside. But the opportunity to join a big club with extraordinary training facilities was too tempting to pass up. Clark’s progression through the Newcastle United youth system has been rapid.

Just at age of 14, he was starring for the Under-18s and had recently been named to England’s Under-16 squad. It’s believed the Magpies were even ready to give the kid a professional contract when he turns 17.

Liverpool, though, thwarted those intentions by making a substantial bid. The Merseysider’s aren’t the only club interested in signing him. Many Top Premier League clubs were interested in Clark, but it was the Reds who won out in the end.

When it comes to identifying young talents and nurture them into the first-team squad, the Reds have a solid track record. Trent-Alexander Arnold, Curtis Jones, Nat Phillips, Harvey Elliot, Harry Wilson, Rhys Williams, and Neco Williams are among others who have made an impression. In recent years, Liverpool has had a number of young players break into the first-team squad.

That, along with Liverpool’s recent strong results on all frontiers, makes the club an appealing possibility for any kid. Liverpool has fought off stiff competition from the likes of Man City and Chelsea by acquiring Clark.

Clark will join Red’s Under-18 squad to continue his development. Thus, he will be the one to watch in the near future. Liverpool have signed one of the finest prospects in English football.

Bobby Clark made a strong start by scoring on his first competitive debut for the U-18s. It’s would not be wrong to say despite all the frustrations of the summer window, Liverpool acquiring a gem in Clark has massively gone under the radar.
