Where do they stand?

Both Trent and Robertson have done incredibly well for Liverpool. They are probably one of the best in the world in their respective positions but they have quite a way to go break through the all-time assist charts. The Liverpool duo has 43 assists each in the Premier League and is only behind Firmino in third (45), Steve McManaman (58) in second and Steven Gerrard in first position (92) for Liverpool.

To break into the Premier League’s all-time assist charts, the duo needs 80 assists. The rate at which they are going, it’s certainly possible. Moreover, Trent is only 23 years old and Robertson is also only 27. In fact, ‘The Wingbacks’ could even overtake Roberto Carlos (122) and Dani Alves (170), provided they have similarly long careers.

Whatever be the case, the Liverpool full-backs have certainly staked the claim as the most electric attacking players in world football regardless of position.

(We hope they remain so)
