Liverpool are ‘at the forefront’ of clubs interested in signing Serie A defender Perr Schuurs and the Reds are now ready to offer €50m to sign the 23-year-old, according to Tuttosport.

The Netherlands international left for Torino last summer, from Ajax, and has been in decent form this season. Having made 24 appearances, the Dutchman is attracting interest also from Spurs, United, and PSG.

Moreover, Klopp is also said to be a huge fan of the 23-year-old and looks to bring him to Anfield. It is also said that the Liverpool boss has been monitoring the defender for years now.

The Serie A defender is in decent form and at just 23, he has his best years ahead of him and Liverpool could profit from it. Also, he might be intrigued by the prospect of playing alongside one of the Dutch’s best defenders, Van Dijk.

Meanwhile, the defensive part of the Reds’ squad is well-stacked with Konate, Van Dijk, Matip, and Joe Gomez. Even though the midfield is the area to be focused upon, Klopp looks to sign this exciting talent who looks like ‘one for the future’.

Serie A talent heading to Liverpool?

The Dutchman played at Ajax but was sent on loan to Fortuna Sittard in the 2017/18 season. Schuurs played an important part in the team’s promotion that season to Eredivisie.

The defender joined the Dutch giants, Ajax in a deal worth €2m. At the end of his loan spell, he went back to Ajax and played for 4 seasons. The Serie A player played 95 games and scored 3 goals and 4 assists.

However, at the beginning of the 22/23 season, he joined Torino in a deal worth €9m. Now, having impressed in the Serie A, many European clubs have shown interest in the 23-year-old.

However, the young talent now looks to have impressed quite a few managers. With a market value of €11.5m, it is yet to be seen if the Serie A talent would move to Liverpool.
