Summer Transfer News: Liverpool not yet done with spending on more transfers

Liverpool fans are enjoying one of their most exciting transfer windows of recent times, the Reds are spending more money on players than ever. But reports suggest they are not done yet and will be looking to land more players.

Liverpool FC are undergoing a massive squad boost.

The Reds are one of the most attractive destinations and they are well and truly using this to land prodigy players.

They have completed the signing of Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez, who is a club-record signing.

Liverpool have also announced the signing of young right-back Calvin Ramsay.

The move was on cards for a few days. And the Reds finally announced that the 18-year-old Scot had moved from Aberdeen.

Ramsay has signed for Liverpool for about ÂŁ8.5 million. And as a youngster, this is another prospective acquisition.

The announcement brought both good and terrible news.

The good news was that, well, when your club has officially secured a player, no matter how young, it’s always a wonderful thing.

Liverpool not yet done spending on talent

The bad news is that Paul Joyce of The Times stated last week that once the Ramsay deal was completed, Liverpool’s transfer activities would be over until January.

That, however, may not be totally correct.

That’s because Sky Sports reporter Mark McAdam said on air yesterday afternoon that the Reds were ‘absolutely’ not done when it came to spending.

He said:

“They’re definitely not done. Liverpool have a plan and a strategy – you can see that in their three signings. Darwin Nunez is ready to rock and roll, with Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay, you have two young players who are raw but talented.”

After all, Sadio Mane hasn’t even left for Bayern Munich yet, despite the fact that he is about to do so.

Darwin Nunez, an ÂŁ85 million signing made last week, wore the number 27 shirt, which Divock Origi had vacated.

And on Merseyside, Mane was the proud owner of the club’s legendary number 10 shirt. And some Liverpool fans may assume that someone else, possibly a new face, will come in to take that jersey.

It’ll be interesting to watch who – if anyone – else Liverpool signs this summer.

However, if McAdam is correct, Klopp might be in for another surprise, which is always exciting.
