Salford City Sign Ben Woodburn
Woodburn came through the ranks and had a promising future ahead. He was Liverpool’s youngest-ever goal scorer when he scored against Leeds in an EFL cup match. He was only 17 at that time.
During his time at Liverpool, Woodburn only made 11 appearances and scored just one goal. This November will make 8 years since he scored for Liverpool and became the youngest goal-scorer
After his Liverpool exit in 2018, he spent each year at a different club before joining Preston North End in 2022. He spent two seasons at Preston.
Ben Woodburn on Playing under Karl Robinson:
“Obviously, I have a bit of a connection as I played under the gaffer at Oxford, me and him got on really well, and it was bit of a pull to come here with him also being the manager.”
His time at Preston wasn’t much of a success, with 63 appearances and scoring only 3 goals. Now with this move to Salford City, he looks to revive his career at 24 years old.
