Egypt National team Captain Mo Salah delivered an emotional speech to his Eqypt teammates also providing a hint about his future.

In a repeat of February’s AFCON final, Senegal again defeated Egypt to book their place in Qatar. Egypt lost 3-1 on penalties to Senegal to miss out on the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Salah missed his spot-kick before his Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane went on to score the decisive penalty to send his team to the World Cup.

However, Salah’s face was under several lasers from the Senegal crowd before he took his spot-kick. Will FIFA take any action on Senegal National team? Let’s see

Salah hinting at his days in the Egypt National team?

In quotes sent by Egyptian journalist Ismael Mahmoud, and in a video published by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, it was seen Salah is speaking to his Egypt teammates after the game.

Salah says:

I told you before the second leg that I’m proud to play with you and you’re some of the most dedicated players I played with,

I played with the previous generation with Wael Gomaa and Mohamed Aboutrika, then with Abdallah El-Said and the following generation. And I can say that I’m happy with the current generation.

I’m proud to have played with you and what happened was out of our control because they were penalty shootouts, and for the second time.

There’s not much I can say, but it was a privilege to play alongside you, whether I’ll be here or not afterward,

The sports minister, Ashraf Sobhi, then interrupted the Liverpool star by saying:

You will be here.

Egypt National team Salah delivers his emotional speech

Salah seems to be devastated following their defeat against Senegal to miss the 2022 World Cup. But definitely, there are many more things to achieve for him at the club level for sure.

Moreover, by the time the next 2026 world Cup comes in, he will be 34 years old. He has enough to reach beyond heights by then with the National team and at the club level.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian FA has made some strong allegations after the game. Egyptian players were subjected to racist abuse from the stands during the game and Mo Salah was a particular target.
