I told you before the second leg that I’m proud to play with you and you’re some of the most dedicated players I played with,

I played with the previous generation with Wael Gomaa and Mohamed Aboutrika, then with Abdallah El-Said and the following generation. And I can say that I’m happy with the current generation.

I’m proud to have played with you and what happened was out of our control because they were penalty shootouts, and for the second time.

There’s not much I can say, but it was a privilege to play alongside you, whether I’ll be here or not afterward,

The sports minister, Ashraf Sobhi, then interrupted the Liverpool star by saying:

You will be here.

Egypt National team Salah delivers his emotional speech

Salah seems to be devastated following their defeat against Senegal to miss the 2022 World Cup. But definitely, there are many more things to achieve for him at the club level for sure.

Moreover, by the time the next 2026 world Cup comes in, he will be 34 years old. He has enough to reach beyond heights by then with the National team and at the club level.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian FA has made some strong allegations after the game. Egyptian players were subjected to racist abuse from the stands during the game and Mo Salah was a particular target.
