Sadio Mane and Liverpool had heartbreak in Paris, as the Reds suffered defeat in the Champions League final on Saturday night.

Liverpool were beaten 1-0 by the Spanish giants Real Madrid in Paris on Saturday night. A goal from Vinicius Jr in the 59th minute was enough to give Los Blancos their record 14th UCL trophy.

The win for Real Madrid wouldn’t have been possible if their goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois’s series of superb saves. Instead, the game will be remembered as the “Courtois final”.

Meanwhile, their boss, Carlo Ancelotti now becomes the most successful manager in the history of the Champions League. The Italian manager adds his fourth UCL trophy under his name. Ancelotti has now surpassed Zinadine Zidane and Bob Paisley in the pecking order.

It was agony for Liverpool, it was a joy for Madrid.

With Real Madrid’s win in the spotlight, Liverpool’s Sadio Mane turned the attention with his class act.

The Senegalese had been superb this season, but unfortunately, the Liverpool star wasn’t able to score on Saturday night. But after the game, he showed a class act by consoling teammates after Liverpool’s loss to Real Madrid in the UCL final.

Mane was snapped approaching Virgil van Dijk, who was on one knee looking dejected following the contest at the Stade de France.

And the former Southampton forward also consoled a devastated Fabinho, too.

Meanwhile, Mane has been linked with a move away from Liverpool. Bayern Munich are looking to land the Senegal international this summer.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp sends a message to the Liverpool fans

After the game, the German says:

Where is the final next season? Istanbul? Book the hotel.

Liverpool were dejected after the game, but the team which is labelled as “mentality monsters” will surely be involved in more finals with Jurgen Klopp in the side.
